Most people don't know that I'm an avid Buffy fan. This drawing is from one of the first episodes I ever saw, Tabula Rasa. The Willow character has been suffering from an addiction to magic, so much that it drives her lover, Tara, away. I gave Willow a more neutral expression than in the episode, to suggest her dulled senses caused by her addiction.
Willow's framed much smaller in the actual episode, which I prefer, but unfortunately my sketchbook was not large enough to capture both Willow and the surrounding frame. You can get a similar frame when viewing this as desktop wallpaper, where the white borders extend to the edge.
This pencil study is from my trusty sketchbook (now getting quite full actually), 5" x 5". My pencil isn't very dark, so Photoshop was used to darken and accent a few highlights.
This is beautiful! I'm no fan of Buffy, but this picture is just so... right. Excellent shading and detail. I'm being kicked off- so I can't ramble. Great job!
You have such incredible talent and my 'prayers' for new work from you were answered! I'm a huge Buffy fan as well but I never realised it until the final series ended... it was just always something I watched out of habit.
I don't know what I am going to do. Your drawings never cease to impress me and unless I draw the line somewhere (argh, no pun intended), I'm going to have to add all your works to my favourites .
wow, such kind words, i'm speechless. which is too bad, since i'm not good with the words to express how moved I often find your works as well. (all that manages to come out is usually some kind of technical mumble about Photoshop or something)
Whoa, I remember that episode. Nice take on it too. I can really feel her despair. I don't know if you need a frame though, but it does feel like there is a lack of something like background or something...

Wow! I've never seen any drawing the show Willow that well! You really captured the emotion in that! I assume this is after she did the forgett spell? No matter, I really love it! Great work!
